Blackslade, one of India’s top dance bands, is performing at the Doha Goan Sports Club’s ‘Summer Queen Nite 2012’, on April 26 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel from 7.30pm. The band members are Anthony (Anton) Braganza (bass guitar, vocals), Menino Dias (lead guitar, vocals), Nazario (Succor) Pereira (drums), Ronald Perry Da Silva (vocals), Raja Paul (keyboards) and Alacoque (vocals).

Music styles: Pop, Rock, Jazz, Bangra, Hindi remixe, Ball room - in other words - the band can handle all dance music and rock concerts. A very versatile Band which has

performed at various venues in India and abroad sending the crowd into a frenzy like never before...mind blowing guitar reefs with superb bass groves & great showmanship..one of India’s best bands which made the Goan music..the peoples favorite.



Blackslade has also improvised songs of Moody Blues - Nights in white satin, Rise up, Leaving on the jet plane, Road house blues, Moves like Jagger, Rain over me, SUMMER OF 69 etc.. techno hip hop and all that you can dance on. They are very popular at doing the Goan music, Punjabi and Hindi songs including Subha hona dey, Dinka Chikha, Baji Guitar, KOLAVERI, SENORITA, SIKKIDIM, VOLARE , JUMP, LA BAMBA, etc.

Blackslade has performed at Corporate functions, Weddings, Anniversaries, Beat shows, Dances and Concerts in most of the cities in India and the Middle East.

A grand sports event for childrn on 23^rd March, 2012 at Al Ahli ground practice field

Dear Members/All Goans,

Please be informed that we shall be conducting Children Sports Day for members and other children of Goan origin aged up to 15 years and below on Friday, 23rd March 2012.

Venue:  Al Ahli Sports Club practice field.

The program will commence at 02.00 PM and end up approx. by 6.00 PM. The evening will be full of fun as there’s going to be a lot of entertainment for children and of course parents and all those who will be there to cheer up the children can also win gifts by way of lucky dip. Children after deep consternation in preparation of their final examination they really deserve pure relaxation and outing, taking all this into consideration and the school holidays, DOHA GOANS SPORTS CLUB came up with this innovation to organize this outing for children where they can enjoy the beautiful weather. 

In order to cope up with the timing arranged by the Ahli Sports Club’s authority we kindly request the parents to register their children by logging to dohagoans@gmail.com or contact any of the Committee Members or be present at the ground at 01.30 PM.  It is important that all the participants should mentioned their height and weight; as this will enable us to organize the games more effectively.

The sports program shall begin and end as scheduled since the ground will be used for another event following our meet and we solicit your fullest co-operation in this regards.
